Made for independent learning

Make yourself at home.

1. Choose your course and topic

Open the learning library, select your course and search for a topic. Each topic has separate Notes, Practice and Exam Arena resources.

Not sure which course is yours? Match the course name on your school timetable or examination entry. If you are unsure, ask your teacher which course and examination year you are preparing for.

  • IGCSE Physics — choose this for Cambridge IGCSE Physics (0625).
  • AS Physics — choose this for the AS content of Cambridge International Physics (9702).
  • A Level Physics — choose this for the additional A Level content of Cambridge International Physics (9702); the AS material is in the separate AS course.
  • AP Physics 1 — choose this when your school course is AP Physics 1.
  • AP Physics 2 — choose this when your school course is AP Physics 2.

Use the official syllabus link on your course page to check your examination year. Learning for interest? You can explore any topic without choosing a qualification.

2. Follow the five steps

Start with Notes, then Practice. Explore related Physics Missions before testing yourself in the Exam Arena. Use Virtual Labs to develop experimental skills.

Missions and labs are shared resources organised by subject. Related links help you explore a topic; their own scope labels tell you which sections fit your course. Where no specific match is supplied, the link opens the full shared library.

3. Keep your place

The homepage can remember the last resource you opened on this browser. Some lessons also save their own progress. Browser storage is local to your device, may be unavailable for local files, and can be lost when browsing data is cleared. It does not sync between devices.

4. Use the original lesson tools

The lesson opens inside a simple navigation frame. Its original controls and design remain available. Choose “Open original” to use the full page, or to print with the lesson’s own print button. On a small screen, rotate your device if an experiment needs more space.

Free access. No account.

The academy has no login, payment gate or analytics service. Search and the recent-resource shortcut run in your browser. Original lessons may offer exports or local progress storage. External reference links, if opened, take you to the named third-party website.

For teachers and parents

Choose a course and topic, then share its page link with your class. Project a mission, set practice after the notes, or use a virtual lab to discuss measurements and conclusions. Students need no account. Parents can use the same topic page to support a manageable study session.

Ask learners to explain their reasoning, not just report a score. Do not send student names, marks or other personal information when reporting a content error.

Written explanations and experimental evaluations benefit from teacher feedback. Local exam modes support practice and self-assessment; they are not a secure, invigilated examination system.

Choose the right course

Match your course and examination board with the official course reference linked on each course page. Ask your teacher which topics and assessment requirements apply to you.

Exam Arenas are custom practice sets, not official examination papers. Check the current official course and exam information rather than using an arena’s question count or timer as the official format.

For written explanations and multi-step calculations, compare your reasoning with the rubric. Automatic feedback cannot independently award all method marks or assess every valid explanation.
